Potty Training
If you want your K-9 friend to share life with you, then house-breaking or potty-training is needed. There are various methods out there. Please stay with those methods that are healthy and humane for your dog.

At Busy Rottie, we try and introduce the home immediately. It is a quick process. We follow a formula of time schedules. Those times allow us to give the dog ample time for the bathroom. There is the opportunity to use te bathroom before or after feeding. There is the opportunity to use the bathroom after play. And of course the favorite ~ right after sleeping.

The difference in gender is also a factor. The female is a quick study in the way of potty training. With some breed of dogs, the female will actually warn you. The male is a different situation. There is the oopps!, the puppy had an accident issue and there is the I am the big dog in the house and I will mark the house to let everyone know issue. The accident issue is repaired by potty training. The marking issue is an obedience element and should be treated as such. Contact for consultation

The primary thing that Busy Rottie tries to establish is how you introduce the house to the dog. If you introduce the entire house at once, you might be allowing the dog to establish where it wants to use the bathroom. If you are allowing the dog in one room at a time. You are helping the dog learn the boundaries of the house much quicker.
